WHISTLE BLOWING PROTECTION FOR PLAYERS AND STAFF

Brisbane City FC we take player protection and the protection of our staff and our young people very seriously.  One of the ways the Club intends to care for young people is ensuring there is a confidential, independent and competent service to receive, discuss and assess concerns about player health.

The process adopted by the Club protects the identify of the people seeking the service and is confidential.  The identity (if known) of the person making the enquiry will not be released unless approved by that person.  Where the issues raised has implications outside of the Club, then referral may be necessary.

This service is for reporting conduct or behaviour that is outside a Code or Standard for the Club or the Sport.  This includes behaviour that may include:

  • Concerns about the nature of the relationship between a child and coach, trainer, volunteer or other person involve with the team of the Club
  • Identified situations where players may be at risk from the public or members of the Club
  • Areas for improvement in the control of money, assets or services to prevent loss of money or injury

Every Club in Australia has clear standards for reporting and dealing with inappropriate conduct under FFA.  Please ensure that you have read these documents before utilising this service.  Where you raise an issue with the service you will be directed to follow the existing club and FFA policies.

This service is not for reporting conduct of member of the public, parent of a player or a player dealt with under the National and Club standards for player care.  Player on field conduct is dealt with by the officials.  Parent or guardian conduct during a game is for the members to resolve.

Please use the confidential reporting service for all:

  • Concerns about the nature of the relationship between a child and coach, trainer, volunteer or other person involve with the team of the Club
