BCFC TECHNICAL & SKILLS PROGRAM

(TAS Program)

WHAT IS THE TAS PROGRAM?

Our Brisbane City FC T.A.S Program has been developed to allow players who we feel could be SAP standard, the opportunity to train with our SAP trainers and train alongside our SAP program. Players within our T.A.S Program may be asked to progress within to our SAP groups. This is dependent in each individual player’s development progression.

Our Brisbane City FC T.A.S Program for 2017 will be under the guidance of our S.A.P Coaching Staff and club Academy Director– Jake Goodship, Tom Kenny, Ryan Genrich and Paul Swithenbank. This will ensure all players are closely monitored and fully supported by our SAP staff.

We have allowed limited spots for players to participate into this program (x12 per age only).

PLAYER PHILOSPHY

The acceptance of this offer is a commitment to the club, program and fellow players, with dedication to your chosen sport and respect to all players (Brisbane City FC and opponents) to team coaches / club official’s and match officials.

You will need to have a willingness to learn and improve all facets of your individual technical and tactical development and understand that our playing culture is “Performance” driven (How we play) and not simply “Results Orientated” (not simply, Did we win?).

To achieve this all players need to be able to commit to the training regime and when there are times where this becomes difficult, discuss this at the earliest opportunity with the Academy Director.

Injury prevention and injury management are key concerns for players, the early injuries are detected the better the chance of healthy and permanent recovery.

PARENT SUPPORT

Whist we encourage parental support for our teams and players, it is the coaches’ responsibility to provide relevant coaching information and set player performance expectations based on the seasonal coaching plan (meeting the Football Federation Australia’s National Football Curriculum).  All coaches are well qualified, experienced and supported in both the direction provided by the Academy Director/Technical Director and guidelines from Football Queensland and Football Federation Australia.

We appreciate your enthusiasm as supporters however players will be instructed to ignore parental “coaching advice” whether that’s on-field during games or away from the training / playing environment.  All parents and spectators are subject to the National Codes of Conduct and as a Club we have an expectation that we comply with the behavioral standards of these codes.

We encourage your support for ALL of our players and teams however it must be within the expectations of all relevant club and FFA conduct expectations.

Our coaching staff look forward to seeing players at the first session.
