Brisbane City FC is pleased to announce further expansion of its MyCity Programs with the signing of an agreement with North Lakes Mustangs Football Club.

The partnership between the clubs is founded on the same desire to continue the development of players in the region and growing the game for both males and females.

North Lakes FC is part of a growing region with many young residents playing football across all levels of the game. The agreement will help provide another pathway for North Lakes FC’s juniors, with the focus to help develop and identify talented players in all ages.

MyCity program director Nic de Jong praised North Lakes Mustangs for their progressive mindset and culture around junior development and their holistic approach to creating a positive participant strategy from juniors to seniors.

“It is exciting times for us [Brisbane City FC] as we continue to align ourselves with like-minded clubs like North Lakes FC,” Nic said.

“Our goal is to help build pathways for all aspects of football and by collaborating with North Lakes FC we can increase the opportunity for growth and development within the club. City’s ambitions run parallel with North Lakes FC’s, which we believe will help grow the game in that particular region”

“By providing coach education, football program development as well as club governance and services, we can assist in the development of North Lakes FC and help them take steps toward their future club goals.”

Part of the agreement will see the Mustangs become a focus area for player development and talent ID. North Lakes FC will hope to attract talented local players across the region who wish to be mentored and developed by some of Brisbane’s best coaches.
